Another great night was had by all at the St Patricks night meal at the Polash in West Road Shoeburyness.
Since 1979, The Polash has been established as one of the premier restaurants in Essex under the Shiekh family ownership. Over the years the Polash has prospered into one of the top 30 Bangladeshi and Indian restaurants in the UK as stated by the Pataks Curry Guide.
We enjoyed some fine food and drink with the atmosphere lively and jovial, many members bringing friends and family along for this popular Take Heart Indian Night.
Our Chairman Paul was in the Irish spirit sporting full leprechaun attire for the occaision!
Back by popular demand was the penny raffle offering the prize of a bottle of aged malt whiskey. This was won by Dot Campan who paid a grand total of 32p for the winning ticket, (which was of course no 32).
Together with the normal raffle and the generosity of the Polash a total of £505.00 was raised.
A big thank you to all who attended our lively alternative take on St Patricks Day and for those who donated raffle prizes.
We offer our gratitude to the wonderful staff at The Polash who never fails in the delivery of their warm hospitality to make us very welcome and look after us extremely well.
